Sometimes, You Must Push!

"For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole." Matthew 9:21 (KJV)

Have you ever felt up against the wall? You did your best thinking. Laid out your best strategy. Determined where to place your limited resources. You did all that only to get the same result you've gotten in the past?

This was the case with the woman with the issue of blood. We know the story. She had been ill for years. She had done her research and gone from doctor to doctor. She had spent all her funds. Yet, nothing had changed. She found herself an outcast. Her illness made her an “untouchable.” Not only did no one want to be around her; society's customs forbade others from being around her. She was physically, mentally, and emotionally alone.

And then, she heard about Jesus. Jesus, the healer, the Messiah was coming to town, and she realized that she had to make this connection. She had to push through every obstacle, every social roadblock, every personal mental roadblock, even the religious customs of her culture if there was to be a change in her life. So she showed up amid the criticism, focused upon getting to Jesus, pushed through the crowd to do the only thing she could—touch the hem of His garment. Her faith compelled her to push through what could have been roadblocks.

You must do that sometimes—push through the obvious obstacles to get to what you need. This means pushing through without distraction. Pushing through without looking to the right or to the left. It means pushing through without looking back. Pray and study to understand God's perfect will for you as a Believer. Your faith in God plays a powerful role in your pushing to your next levels in life.

Your relationship with Jesus is secure. Embrace the power of His Spirit living inside of you as you face the daily challenges of life. Rest assured that you are never alone!

When Words Are Not Enough
